PvP and Gaming Culture Epilogue

The truth of the internet is that if you wait long enough, someone will write exactly what you’re trying to say for you, and usually do it better then you ever could anyway.  Case in point, Andy Khouri just wrote “Fake Geek Guys: A Message to Men About Sexual Harassment.”

It provides probably the best prescription for what guys should be doing to help fight this that I’ve seen.  Even better then mine:

Sexual harassment isn’t an occupational hazard. It’s not a glitch in the complex matrix of modern life. It’s not something that just “happens.” It’s something men do. It’s a choice men make. It’s a problem men enable. It’s sometimes a crime men commit. And it is not in the power nor the responsibility of women to wage war on this crime.

It’s on us.

Go read the rest.  It’s worth every second.  And for my own thoughts on this, you can read my part one and part two at the respective links.
